Yes, this post is a little old as New Years was about a week ago but I have been busy with life and being uncomfortable, I haven't posted in a little while. So I am posting but no pictures.
AJ and I had a wonderful Christmas filled with lots of time with family and many fun gifts to be had by all. AJ had been really wanting to build his own computer and with his hard saved money and Christmas presents he and his dad were able to build a gigantic new computer for him. He also bought a new monitor and is now enjoying dual monitors. Life can't get much better for him and his gaming! I got maternity clothes, an IPOD and a stereo to put in the bathroom so I can listen to my IPOD music in the morning as I am getting ready and a new cozy and warm down comforter. We both got lots of cool stuff and had fun giving to others and each other as well.
Then for New Years, AJ and I headed to Portland to stay at our favorite hotel up there. It is on the east side by Lloyd Center but less than a block from a Max station and it is considered fareless square there so no Max fare needed to get downtown. We checked in and took the Max downtown and ate at my favorite restaurant Buffalo Wild Wings! We left feeling very full and walked around for a little and headed back to our hotel. We got on the wrong Max line so we were headed the wrong direction but soon figured it all out and had a lot of fun! We rang in the New Year with the ball dropping in New York on TV and I promptly fell asleep. I honestly don't remember the ball hitting the bottom so I think I may have fallen asleep mid ball drop!
On New Year's day we slept in and enjoyed being lazy and checked out at noon, had a brunch buffet and headed out to do some shopping in the windy, rainy, cold weather, only to find most of the places we wanted to stop were closed. So we headed home and laid low for the evening.
All in all, our holidays were nice and relaxing. AJ enjoyed his THREE weeks of Winter Break and I enjoyed many days off as well that it was hard to go back on Monday. But we are adjusting and looking forward to the next weekend already!
Hope everyone had a great time with family and friends during the holiday season and excited as to what 2009 might bring to all of us! We are looking forward to meeting our son and all that will come with him!
Happy New Year!
