Cute kiddos

Time flies...

I feel like it was just June and AJ was finishing school and summer was soon to begin. I had high hopes for the summer and a list of projects a mile long we were going to accomplish. I am happy to report it was a great summer. Now it is fall and I am just starting to get caught up on summer posts. So hang on, I again have high hopes of catching up.

The first big project of the summer was to pick a house color.

For an entire year our house was the old color (yellow), brown trim and then in the process of prepping the house AJ had worked to sand parts of it and then had painted primer gray on the bare wood. It was a sight to behold. But honestly, over the year, we sort of got used to it. So this summer we were determined we were going to get it painted.

So after ten house color options, we picked and taped the windows, bought the paint, rented the sprayer and set the weekend. It was a beautiful weekend. The sun was out and out to stay, not a raindrop in sight. AJ, his dad and JJ sprayed the house and my job along with Lori was to paint the trim.

Our Cape Cod home is now a suede brown color, black trim and white windows. We also added the black shutters and it really made the windows pop. AJ was in the process of building window boxes and ripping out the deck on the left of the house. It looks a little different now because of those but you get the idea. It was quite the transformation. It was a huge weight lifted. Our house was a brand new beautiful color and a relief to have the color picking process over and the painting done.

On to the next project...

I think I got it figured out.

I have been having a heck of a time getting posts to post which can be discouraging and therefore I haven't been posting as much. I have a bunch of posts in my head and pictures on my camera but now it is 11 at night and I have to work tomorrow so I gotta go to bed.

If this works, I will try to get some more pictures and posts up. For now, I am still here, promise.
