Come on baby, do the twist...

Week 37 and apparently, baby has moved some and his head is up and he is lying diagonally. Not where he needs to be! So please pray for little Baby DeBacker that he will do some good moving and get his head down and be ready to come out in about 3 weeks.

Everything else looks good and I am just plugging along. I am so camera shy as I am just done being pregnant but this weekend AJ and I are having professional maternity pictures taken so when I get those, I will post them.

Just a quick little update post. We did go to Seattle last weekend to a yo-yo competition and I will post on that this weekend as I took some videos so you can see what amazing talent with a yo-yo is out there!

Later!

33 and 1/2 weeks...sorry no pictures.

Went to the midwife today for my check up and all is good. My blood pressure has remained pretty much the same the entire time, my urine is good and the baby's heart rate is good as well. Today when the midwife was feeling around he was head down which is always a good sign. He is a very active little guy and enjoys doing push ups on mom's bladder and takes part in his daily kick boxing and Taebo. So it was a great midwife visit and we are just plugging along counting down the weeks.

I am getting less and less sleep it seems like so by the time he arrives I will be completely exhausted already but God gives strength when it seems like you have nothing left so I am sure all will work out.

So nothing solid on a name yet and AJ and I are working on that. It may just come down to drawing his name out of a hat after he is born! Just kidding. But when we say we are going to wait till we meet him, it means, we have no idea what we are going to name him! I am sure when the time is right, we will know what his name will be. For now either Junior or Baby DeBacker!

Sorry no pregnancy pictures. I hope to have some soon but am hating my hair right now so don't really love having my picture taken. Scroll down to the baby shower and you can see me but my bump is more camouflaged in the black dress. No worries it is there and large!

Lucy...

I never usually get pictures of Lucy because she is kind of a freaky dog. But I had a few on my camera I thought I would share. She is a rat terrier/chihuahua mix and our first dog we got. She is a very weird dog and you really just have to let her come to you on her own terms or she will get freaked out and pee a little. Seeing how she was our first dog, you would think she is the alpha dog but when Ellie came along she took no prisoners and was large and in charge from the day we brought her home. Lucy and Ellie are friends and love to play and wrestle but they never sleep next to each other. They each have their favorite spots and Lucy has a bed that Ellie never sleeps in. Such fun little things!

Lucy Christmas morning with her stocking candy cane striped rawhide.

Lucy got freaked one night as we have a soda pop can that I have put some rocks in it and taped the top to shake when the dogs are being obnoxious. It is mostly for Ellie so she won't bark out the window, but Lucy hates it. So if you even knock it she runs and tries to hide. This was her attempt at hiding. In the closet with AJ's shoes!

Silly chihuahua!

Oh, yeah, we had a lot of snow in December...

December 2008

I never posted this in December but this is what it looked like outside our house on December 22nd in 2008 in Keizer, OR. AJ's little red car was completely buried and so I just had to take a picture. Our Subaru was a champ and got us around very nicely thanks to the great AWD!

Salem Baby Shower

The lovely cake!

Hannah Enns made all these wonderful homemade candies in molds! They were amazing!

My good friends Cindy Howard and Erin Molyneaux.

Shannon Campbell and I. She has rock star hair that I want! Love her color!

Jennifer Henderson, my wonderful friend and the one I ask all the random pregnancy and mothering questions of! (Try to ignore my double chin, ugh.)

Lavere, my coworker is on left, Susan is in the middle and cohosted the shower with Jana and Lauren. They all did a fabulous job and the shower was fantastic.

The last Saturday in January was a baby shower and I had bought a very fun little black dress on Gap online clearance and a new pair of purple heels just for the occasion. It was so much fun to get dressed up and shave my legs! You can tell I am the pregnant one as I am wearing a sleeveless dress and everyone else is still in normal winter wear. It was a beautiful sunny day and not very warm, but I always am on the warm side of things nowadays!

Jana, Lauren and Susan all decided to combine efforts and throw one bigger shower and we could invite all to it and enjoy the afternoon together. About 40 people were there. It was so much fun and I wish I had had a good hour to sit and chat with each person there. My sister's mother in law who we are good friends with as well, came all the way from Trout Lake, WA to celebrate with me as well as my good friend from high school in Bend and another good friend from Eugene. AJ also attended OSU this last year and a half in a graduate program and some of his cohort members came as well! Many wonderful ladies from all my various walks of life.

And let me tell you, AJ and I feel blessed. God has given us such wonderful families, friends and people in our lives who we are so thankful for. We were blessed with many wonderful gifts and fun things for our baby boy, it was a good kind of overwhelming. Our son is definitely going to be a very well dressed kid. One of my friends told me I was going to have to step up my own game to keep up with my super stylish child!

All in all, I had a lot of fun and I was glad for each person there! Thank you all for blessing AJ and I and Baby DeBacker!
